OUR PARTNER

For over a decade, our partner, the Palms for Life Fund, has worked to end hunger and poverty by addressing their root causes in different countries across the globe. Founded by Hannah Laufer-Rottman, Palms for Life is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3), U.S. based organization. Although RIEcuador disburses all of its funds in Ecuador and is organized under Ecuadorean tax law, our partnership with Palms for Life provides us with vital institutional and organizational resources, and our fiscal sponsorship agreement allows us to solicit tax-deductible donations in the U.S.  

The Palms for Life team works with a range of investors to raise funds and support programs that ensure access to food, water, sanitation and education in several countries in Africa and Latin America. In the U.S., Palms for Life focuses particularly on hunger as a direct manifestation of poverty and inequality.

Palms for Life Fund’s mission is to advocate for and support the creation of infrastructure that provides access to education, food, water and sanitation for vulnerable communities throughout Africa, Latin America and Asia. We operate from a basic human rights perspective – because access to safe and sustainable food, water, sanitation and education is a right not just a humanitarian issue.
